Buenos Dias!
A new day awaits. My friend Addie has lent me and Ange this British TV series called Coupling..excited about watching that over break as my reward.
Today I have to email Lynn and Jasmina, the grad students and ask them how to scale something and then I can analyze the data again. Sigh. I met with Mick on Monday and he wants me to do everything again so I can explore another facet of the research. Then, as Maria puts it, I shall have an "indoor picnic", which is another euphemism for thesis, of course! :)
Overall I expect to indoor picnic. Than I may go see a movie screening of this movie "Fire" which was banned in India. Ah controversy...

I have a large number of Indian friends. I also have a large number of lesbian friends (most of which you and the gang don't know, and no, I didn't date them and drive them to lesbianism [Hey, once you've had Ben, no other man will do!]). Because of this, when I heard about the controversial and acclaimed film, I immedaitely jumped at a chance to see it.

It's a very moving film, but it's slow and plodding, there's not enough nudity or lesbian love scenes to keep the MAN in me happy, and it's hard to follow because it's a diatribe on a culture that, while I am familiar with to a small extent, I don't know the nuances of. That being said, I found the documentary on Fire to be more interesting and enlightening than the movie itself.
